Remembering Chapter 32 Rally

We enjoyed many meals together at camp and in the community.
We enjoyed a campfire each evening with live music. Willard, Gary, and I played our guitars and sang into the night. Gary even had to compete with a Coyote during one of his songs.
Each morning the hikers head out for a walk. One morning they hiked to Wind Cave. The next day some hiked all the way around the mountain. It took about 5 hours. I'm getting tired just writing about it. We toured the area in our TRUCK.
Gary travels with his shop on wheels. He can fix almost anything. He even made a two-seater bike.
Willard fills our motorhome up with diesel before we move on down the road.

Our camp hosts planned a busy week for our Chapter 32 Rally. In camp we ate many of our meals, played games, told jokes, sat around the campfire, hiked, had a business meeting, and just got acquainted or renewed friendships. Gary even brought out his telescope and we looked at Saturn in the east sky. They also scouted the area and came up with several great field trips to:

What a great whirlwind week.

First Day at the Usery Park Rally

We finally made it to Usery Park for the Chapter 32 Rally. It was raining when we arrived and poor Ray was directing the parking. He was soaked to the bone. I just hope he doesn't get sick. We parked, unhooked our Tacoma, leveled up and let out the slides, and turned on the TV  before we collapsed. It was a stressful two hours driving in the rain, winds, and then on the 101 Loop around Phoenix, Scottsdale, and east of Mesa. We were sure glad to be off the road.

We fired up our furnace and soon it was toasty warm. I was relieved to find out that the Social Hour and Campfire was cancelled. We all went to Golden Corral instead. I'll have to find out who's idea it was and give them an Escapee's Hug. We came back home to watch American Idol and a movie before taking Rocky for his nightly walk. Soon it will be bedtime where we can dream of those beautiful, warm, sunny days in Arizona.

Hitchin" Up and Ready to Move On

La Fiesta at North Ranch is over. The parade was great, not too long and not too short.  Everybody seemed to like our music during the Round-Up. We had a successful craft show and the NASCART was a hoot. Willard was in the Melodrama and it was a delight. I think everyone had a great day. I know we did.

The big slide came in this afternoon, so we can move out of North Ranch in the morning. We're heading for Palestine, Texas. Hope to be there by the middle of April for a family reunion of sorts. We will be attending a RV Rally this week. Then we plan on rollin' on to St. David, AZ where Willard loves to fish for Crappe, Bass, and Brim. And I like to sit in the hot tub, swim, and just relax in my lawn chair with a good book. Of course, we'll manage to do some site seeing, too. We plan on staying a few days in Pacos then wander on to Lake Whitney. While there we will spend some time with Robbie and family, visit with friends and meet some distant relatives before we get to Palestine.

Our only regret is that we will miss Jason and Sara's wedding. But, I'm certain that they will be surrounded by many of their friends and other relatives. We probably won't even be missed. I just hope they send us some pictures.
Our Plans
We always have a plan, but they are much like Jello. Sometimes they are firm, sometimes they can be jiggled a bit, and sometimes they completely loose their shape. But, they are always sweet.
We entertain at La Fiesta 2010: Janice, Paul, Willard, Jean, Charlie
